Embracing Hard Work and Patience for real Self-Improvement
Updated: Aug 4
Hello world!
It's been a crazy couple of months.
Social media has many of us—especially those of us who are current/aspiring entrepreneurs—believing that if you are not earning 10k per month, or haven't made a million before 30, then, essentially, you are a loser. That you've had all the tools all along, and that if you didn't make it, it's because you are not good enough.
They aren't explicitly saying it in this way, but that's how many of us feel because of all the propaganda they blast us with. Well... just in case you didn't know, or you needed a reminder... that's not true! You are not a loser if you are still out there trying. If you still haven't found your way. Especially if you are still in your twenties. We have lots of time!
Like Gary V constantly says, “You can do everything wrong until your mid-30s and still be early.”
That's why I keep at it! Sometimes slower, sometimes faster, but always fuelling my ventures and wacky ideas. Because you only need to get it right once! And then, you are rich! You now only need to worry about maintaining what you have and enjoying your life.
Saying I've been “away” is a lie. I've been here, just not active on social media and so on... And this little time away has been good for me. It's given me time to get my head down, reformulate, plan, and get back out there.
There was another saying that I'm not really sure who said first, but... it goes something like:
“You can't always be at the top, because the tiger bends his legs just before it jumps.”
Meaning something like, if you aren't “up there” yet, don't worry, you could be a tiger that's getting ready to jump.
As long as you are sure that entrepreneurship, running your own business—with all the responsibilities, stress and sleepless nights this brings—is your path... then don't worry. Keep at it! If you are like me, you cannot even imagine life any other way.
I've been away building... I'm not ready to jump yet, but I am happy with where I am going. Not much to announce for the moment. This is more for you, my dear readers... Keep it up! If you are out there and your faith is starting to quiver, don't worry. Keep at it. Your time will come.
For even more help, I'd like to have my courses on personal finance ready to share with you... those are coming, but... I've been delaying those for literally years! But they are coming. Ji Ji ji.
These months have been a bit tougher than usual. I've not been able to do “everything I wanted,” as per usual... but that's part of it too. In the end, the good life is formed through both the joyful times and the tough times that teach us and make us grow. I had been in the former for many years, and we've now come to the time where I must focus on the latter. But I am alright with that. Fuck it... Life is good.
And... that's it for today, folks. Sending love x
